John Walter Peters' Obituary
John Walter Peters, age 50, of Holiday, FL passed away suddenly at his home. John was born in Parma, OH to Margie (nee Reed) and John J. Peters.
John worked as a self-employed contractor for many years, before retiring in 2023. He has been a resident of Florida for over 10 years, after moving from Cleveland.
John was known for his love of animals. He was also very involved with Hanger Clinic, where he established a deep lasting friendship with Matt and Wendy Brewer. Matt and Wendy worked with John and helped him realize that life was worth living with his disability.
John is survived by his parents, Marjorie Jeanne (nee Reed) and John Joseph Peters, sister, Liz (Brian) Fox, niece Emma, nephews Luke, Colin and Ryan, many aunts, uncles and close friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 11AM at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church 5500 Lear Nagle Rd, North Ridgeville, OH 44039. Father Isidore Munishi will officiate. Interment will follow at St Joseph Cemetery in Avon.
