John S. Palacios' Obituary
John S. Palacios, age 89, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at O’Neill Healthcare in Bay Village.
He was born in Malakoff, Texas and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1961 moving from Lorain.
John served in the Unites States Air Force as a radio technician
He worked as an electrician for General Industries for many years before retiring in 1994.
He was a member of VFW Post 1079 in Elyria and enjoyed trains and tinkering with electrical and mechanical things. He was very inventive and could repair TVs and VCRs. He like looking at space through his telescope and was also interested in science fiction. He loved his pets, especially his cat Carmel.
Survivors include his wife, Donna (nee Reitz); daughter, Andrea Palacios of North Ridgeville; sons, Bryan (Carol) Palacios of Amherst, Perry Palacios of North Ridgeville; granddaughters, Janel (Matt) Dovala, Briana, Nicole and Kayla (Christopher) Mesar; great-grandchildren, Ashton and Atticus Dovala; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Refugia (nee Sanchez) Palacios; 12 brothers and sisters.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. Interment with Full Military Honors by V.F.W. 9871, will be in St. Peter Cemetery, N. Ridgeville.
