John Mullins' Obituary
John L. Mullins, age 61, of Sheffield Lake, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at his home.
He was born in Clendenin, West Virginia and had been a resident of Sheffield Lake for the past 20 years moving from Avon Lake.
John served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He was employed as a water works operator for the Avon Lake Municipal Utilities.
He was a member of VFW Post 8686 and AMVETS Post 55, both in Sheffield Lake.
Survivors include his wife, Lucinda "Cindy" Mullins (nee Guthrie); brothers, James, Clyde, Ernest, Paul, Roger and sisters, Mary Stricker, Shirley Rutkowski, Ruth Martin, Sandy Elswick, and Marcine Ann Elswick.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillian Mullins.
Friends may call Friday, November 6, 2009 2-4 and 6-8PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon where VFW Post 9871, North Ridgeville will conduct military honors..
