John Martin's Obituary
John J. Martin, age 53, of N. Ridgeville, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008, at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria, following a long illness.
John was born in Cleveland and grew up in Parma. He had been a resident of N. Ridgeville for the past 22 years, moving from Columbia Station.
Mr. Martin worked as a heavy equipment operator for International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 for 29 years retiring in 2006.
John enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly; son, John Jr. (Jessica) Martin of Morristown, TN; daughter, Judy (James) Vanover of N. Ridgeville; stepchildren, James (Leslie) Travis and Jill (Jon) Flesher both of N. Ridgeville; eleven grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie (Ray) Csensich of Jacksonville, FL, Kathy (George) Sanborn of Cleveland; brothers, Jim (Ruth) Martin of Vermilion, Andy (Laura) Martin of Parma, Michael (Angie) Martin of Columbia Station and Rick Martin of Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Laverne Martin and brother, Robert Martin Jr.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, N. Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00AM in the funeral home. Fr. Stephen Kaminski, Pastor of St. Peter Church, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
