John L. “Jack” Captain, age 67, of Elyria, passed away peacefully Friday, January 8, 2021 at Cedar Creek Group Home in Elyria. He was born March 13, 1953 in Upper Darby Twp, PA. Jack worked as an assembler in the workshop at Murray Ridge Center. He lived in Elyria since 2005 moving from Ormond Beach, FL. Jack loved watching professional wrestling, and the Steelers. He is survived by his sisters Nancy Captain of Elyria, Jane McCarthy of Nashville, TN; guardian Allie Furst of Cincinnati; 3 nieces and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Margaret Captain; sister Carol Furst. The family will celebrate his life privately. Arrangements by Bogner Family Funeral Home, North Ridgeville.
