John L. DeAngelo's Obituary
John L. DeAngelo, age 78, of Elyria, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at UH Elyria Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his family, He was born in Marietta and had been a resident of Elyria since 1990, formerly of North Ridgeville. He was a member of the US Army, Sugar Ridge Baptist Church, UAW Local 1250, Elyria Am Vets, and Royal Order of Moose. He worked as a floor inspector for Ford for 34 years before retiring in 2001. He also drove for Northwest Limousine for 8 years after retiring. John enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, and camping. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Sue; daughters Mariann (Pastor Terry) McGovern of Anchorage, Alaska, Sara (Jim) Thompson of Amherst; son Sam (Daniell) DeAngelo of Elyria; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandsons, 6 great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Joseph DeAngelo, infant son John Jr. Memorial service Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 9:30 am until the time of service at 11:30 am at Sugar Ridge Baptist Church, 36600 Sugar Ridge Rd, North Ridgeville.
