John L. Davis' Obituary
John L. Davis, age 75, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully with his wife at his side on Friday January 15, 2021 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake.
He was born in Enterprise, West Virginia, grew up in Dundalk, Maryland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 43 years.
John received his Bachelor’s degree from Baldwin Wallace and worked for Key Bank for many years as a computer programmer before retiring in 2010.
John was a medic in the US Air Force and applied that knowledge throughout the rest of his life. He became a member of Fields United Methodist when he moved to North Ridgeville.
John was a devoted husband and wonderful father. He was a man of few words but expressed himself in his actions making sure his family was taken care of. He did not hesitate to jump in and help anyone. He enjoyed the simple things in life such as riding bikes in the Metroparks, working on computers, feeding the ducks and birds, and was an avid Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan.
John is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Cynthia; along with; daughter Jennifer (Jim) Jones of Olmsted Township, son Jeffrey Davis of Olmsted Township, grandchildren James Jones and Kieran Davis, brother Rufus Davis Jr. “Bud.”
He was preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Pauline Davis, stepmother Mildred, and 5 sisters.
