John William "Bill" Bauer's Obituary
John William “Bill” Bauer, age 78, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at St. John Medical Center in Westlake, following a short illness.
He was born in Parma and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1994, moving from Elyria.
John served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked for the General Motors Parma Chevy Plant for 34 years, retiring in 1999.
He was a member of UAW Local, Parma, Am Vets, Elyria and the American Legion in North Ridgeville.
John enjoyed driving his Corvette, fishing and building model trains and boats.
Survivors include his companion of 14 years, Marilyn Ivey of North Ridgeville; son, John A. Bauer of Brunswick; granddaughters, Breanna and Samantha Bauer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eleanor (nee Eckle) Bauer and an infant sister.
Friends may call Saturday 1PM until the time of services at 2PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev. Bob Franco will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s cemetery, North Ridgeville.
