John L. Bailey's Obituary
John L. Bailey, age 79, of Eaton Township passed away peacefully at his home Friday May 1, 2015.
He was born in Plymouth, WV. He had resided in Eaton Township nearly 50 years after moving from Cleveland.
Mr. Bailey served in the US Army and was a social member of VFW Post 5563 in Valley City.
He worked as a machinist for Snow Medal Products in Independence for 25 years, retiring in 1988. He currently own and operated Bailey’s Pizza House in Eaton Township which he started with his wife Glenna “Jo” in 1988.
He enjoyed golfing, bowling, drag racing, coaching little league baseball and visiting with friends.
Survivors include his son John L. Bailey II, daughter Missy Bailey both of Eaton Township, niece Deborah Helmick of Elyria, grandchildren Jessica and Lyndsey, great grandchildren Dominic and Raelynn and his sister, Linda (Joe) Kreon of Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by his wife Glenna “Jo” in 2007, son Scott, great granddaughter Alana, parents, Frank and Dorothy Bailey and two infant brothers.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5-8 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville where services will be held 11 AM Tuesday. Burial will follow in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township. VFW Post 5563 will conduct full military honors.
