Joe K Hamick's Obituary
JOE K. HAMICK, age 70, of North Ridgeville, formerly of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and the caring staff at Northridge Rehabilitation and Health Center. He was born January 12, 1956, in Webster Springs, West Virginia, and spent the last 12 years in North Ridgeville, Ohio.
Joe worked many odd jobs over the years, but the things he loved most in life could never be measured by a job title. He found joy in the simple things such as walking the neighborhoods of Cleveland and stopping to visit with friends, listening to the music of Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks, and sharing laughter and stories with the people he loved. Joe never met a stranger for long, and his kindness, humor, and free spirit left an impression on everyone who knew him.
Above all else, Joe loved his family. He treasured every moment spent with his children and the many people he considered family throughout his life.
Joe is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Meyer (Jon) of North Ridgeville and Jane Hamick of Cleveland; his grandchildren, Daniel Hamick, Jennah Meyer, and Shayla Hamick; several great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Kenneth Charles Hamick and Gary Hamick. He was uncle to many nieces and nephews both by blood and by choice. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenny Woods and Hazel Ruth Hamick; his sisters, Beatrice Hamick and Linda Frame; and his brother, Gale Hamick.
Friends may call at BOGNER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, on Saturday, May 30, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joe will be remembered for his warm heart, his love of music and conversation, and the way he made people feel seen and welcome. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the songs played, and the family he loved so deeply. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
