Joann M. Walker's Obituary
Joann M. Walker (nee Riedel), age 82. Of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 24, 2019 at her home. She was born in Cleveland and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 53 years moving from Old Brooklyn. She was a homemaker and a member of Fields United Methodist Church where she volunteered as a member of the kitchen crew while helping with Tuesday night suppers, a member of the Young at Heart and United Methodist Women. Joann enjoyed sewing, crafts, flower arranging, baking, and playing cards. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Russell; son Russell Scott Walker of North Ridgeville; daughters Laura J. (Brian) Benya of Marblehead, Lisa Marie (Scott) Bruggeman of Woodstock, GA; granddaughters Beth and Carrie Benya; brother Howard Riedel (Doreen) of North Ridgeville. She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Eleanor Riedel; brother Richard Riedel. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 5-7 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd, North Ridgeville, and Thursday from 10:30 am until the time of service at 11 AM at Fields United Methodist Church 34077 Lorain Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev Tom Joyce will officiate. Burial will follow at Fields Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Church.
