JoAnn B. Tomasheski's Obituary
JoAnn B. Tomasheski (nee Wasilewski), age 75, of North Ridgeville, passed away at University Hospital in Cleveland on Monday, December 2, 2019 after a brief illness.
She was born on October 19, 1944 in Gary, Indiana and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 43 years, moving from Cleveland. She worked as a building manager of the distribution center for HKM Direct Market Communication in Sheffield Village, retiring in 2004 after 28 years of service. JoAnn was a very active member of St. Peter Church, where she was a teacher of PSR and the Children’s Liturgy of the Word, a Eucharistic Minister, the home and hospital ministry, as well as part of the Pre-Cana Team.
In her free time, JoAnn enjoyed scrapbooking, photography and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerome; sons Mark (Susan) of Sagamore Hills and Matthew (Linda) of Medina; daughter Denise (Marc) Hanshaw of Tennessee; grandchildren Holly, Nicholas and Sara Tomasheski, Jimmy and Sydney Fox, Paul and Renee Tomasheski, Jessica Ritsche and Faith Hanshaw; great granddaughter Ava Fox; sister Danita (Ronald) Harris of Indiana; many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. (Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m.) and on Friday at 9:30 a.m. for a prayer service preceding a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Catholic Church, Rev. Bob Franco, Rev. Andrew Hoover and Rev. Charles Ryba will concelebrate. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the St. Peter Scholarship Fund, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, OH 44039.
