Joann Eacott's Obituary
Joann V. Eacott (nee Liska), age 79, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center, Lorain, following a short illness.
She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for most of her life. She previously lived in Parma.
Joann worked as an accountant for Costin and Company in North Ridgeville for many years and also for Future Generations Day Care in Lorain, where she was known as "Grandma". She and her late husband Larry were very involved in Marriage Encounter, and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville.
Survivors include her daughters, Christine Cicero and Lou Ann (Max) Fingerhut all of North Ridgeville, Denise Eacott of Lorain; sons, Jeff (Bonnie Watson) Eacott of Lorain, Rob (Eve) Eacott of Oakridge, Tennessee; grandchildren, Laura (Dan) Clark, Carla Sprague, Aaron Fingerhut, Alexandra, Jessica and Victoria Eacott; great-grandson, Noah Clark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence M. Eacott; brother, George Liska, sisters, Anne Tyrpak, Helen DeNova, Olga Glasscock and Mary Belgrave.
Friends may call Friday from 5-8 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Please meet at the church. Rev. Bob Franco, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark.
