JoAnn J. Boros' Obituary
JoAnn J. Boros (née Snyder), age 79, of Olmsted Falls, passed away on June 1, 2025.
Born on February 1, 1946, in Cleveland, OH, JoAnn spent the past four years in Olmsted Falls
after many joyful years in Berea. While raising her children, she was actively involved in
volunteer efforts that supported their schools and activities. She later enjoyed a rewarding career
in retail at Dillard’s.
JoAnn had a zest for life and was a true social butterfly who nurtured deep, meaningful
friendships. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, dancing with friends, caring for her
beloved cat, and tending to her houseplants—her green thumb could bring anything to life. She
also really enjoyed her Diet Coke, M&M’s, and Peanut Buster Parfaits! JoAnn was a
hugger—her warm embrace could light up a room—and she had a special fondness for babies,
always delighted to hold them. Her warmth, generosity, and joyful spirit touched all who knew
her and will live on in her family’s hearts forever.
She is survived by her loving children, Connie Boros (Rob Gaglione) of Brecksville and Steve
Boros (Sarah) of North Ridgeville; cherished grandchildren Lydia Maschmeier (Howie Bruss),
Hayden Maschmeier, Jack Boros, Isabelle Gaglione, and Seth Gaglione; her sister, Carolyn
Swaggerty; brothers-in-law Joe McCoy and Frank Beznoska; and many nieces and nephews.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Henry Snyder; and sisters Janet
Beznoska, Patricia Wilkins, Nancy Ehemann and Susan McCoy; as well as her brother-in-law Ty
Swaggerty.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in JoAnn’s name to the Moebius
Syndrome Foundation, 1312 17th Street #976, Denver, CO 80202, or to Milestones Autism
Resources, 4853 Galaxy Parkway, Suite A, Warrensville Heights, OH 44128.
