Joan Marie Remy's Obituary
Joan Marie Remy (nee Wysocki), age 80, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland after a brief illness.
She was born on December 28, 1942 in Elyria and has been a lifelong resident of North Ridgeville and was a member of St. Peter Church.
Joan loved being outdoors in the summer, whether it was tending to her flower garden, feeding the birds, or just watching the deer browse around the yard. She loved her entire family and the time spent with them, especially her grandchildren. These times together brought her the greatest joy in life.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jim; children Denise Gdovin of Columbia Station, James (Leeann) Remy of Amherst and Jeffrey (Alicia) Remy of Goose Creek, SC; grandchildren Michelle (Chris) Kerlin, Leah Remy and Joshua and Dalton Remy; great grandchildren Aubrey and Madelyn Kerlin; sister Mary Ann (James) Fay; sister-in-law Eleanor Wysocki and life partner of her deceased brother Karl Wysocki, Judy Abbott; many nieces and nephews.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Alberta (nee Diederich) Wysocki; brothers Ronald and Karl Wysocki; sister Noreen (Erick) Rohde; grandson Zackary Remy
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m., and on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. for a prayer service preceding a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville. Rev. Bob Franco will officiate. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
