Joan M. Kern's Obituary
Joan M. Kern (nee Briardy) age 58, of Cleveland passed away Thursday June 23, 2022, at Fairview Hospital.
Born in Inglewood, CA, she grew up in Manhattan Beach, CA. She had resided many places over the years but settled in Ohio, where she lived in Medina then Cleveland for the past 15 years.
Joan was a retail sales manager for several stores including K-Mart, Cabela’s and most recently, Meijer in Avon.
She loved spending time in the backyard with Cheryl and their dog Harley Elizabeth, feeding the birds, enjoying the flowers, and tending to the garden. Joan also enjoyed painting pictures for her family and friends, golfing and fishing. She especially enjoyed the time she got to spend with her brothers, sons, grandchildren, and friends.
Survivors include her life partner, Cheryl Graf, sons, Anthony (Danielle) Kern of Brookpark, Sean Kern of Barberton, grandchildren, Conner, Kaylee, Chloe, Kennedy, and Baby Quinn who is on the way. Stepdaughter, Brittany Graf. She is also survived by three brothers, Patrick (Betsy) Briardy of Seattle, John Briardy of Kansas City and Daniel (Andre) Briardy of Phoenix, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank, and Rosemary Briardy.
Joans celebration of life will be held on August 13, 2022, 2-5pm. Location is Bomba Taco & Bar 19880 Detroit Rd. Rocky River, Ohio 44116. There will be a cash bar and appetizers provided. In lieu of flowers, we ask any donations in Joan’s honor, be sent directly to Cheryl Graf 32330 Center Ridge Rd. North Ridgeville, Ohio 44039.
