Jerry Gene Dempsey's Obituary
Jerry Gene Dempsey beloved Husband, Dad, Papa, Brother and Pastor, went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2022. Jerry was born on September 2, 1940 in Myrtle, West Virginia. He met and married the Love of his Life, Phyllis Ann (Gilman) on May 24, 1959. Together they shared 63 wonderful years of marriage. Jerry retired as a Forman and Millwright at Ford Motor Company and devoted his life to Ministry. He Spread the Lord’s Word as a Pastor at Lakeview Freewill Baptist Church of Grafton. He enjoyed singing and playing his guitar in the Church’s Choir.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harmon and Tella, His son Timothy, brother’s Jim and Junior, sister’s Anthy, Elmy, Parley, and Cyrldia. Along with his beloved cat Puma.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis Ann (Gilman) Children: Debra (Robert) Crigger, Bruce (Barb) Dempsey, Melissa, and Gerald (Carrie) Dempsey. Sister’s: Polly (Jim) Varney and Mary (Don) Howard. Grandchildren: Rose, Robert, Amanda, Christina, Jessica, Monica, Tiffany, Bruce, Daniel and Hannah. Great grandchildren: Kaytlyn, Breanna, Karli, Kalon, Colten, Austen, Leah, Isabella, Cameron, Ceria, Ethan, Natalie and Ava.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 11 am until the time of service at 12pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville.
