Jerald W. Bilow's Obituary
Jerald W. Bilow, 80, of Columbia Station, went home to be with Jesus Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at his home with his beloved wife at his side. Jerald was born August 7, 1940 in Elyria, OH to the late Burton and Irene Bilow.
Jerald was a graduate of North Ridgeville High School.
After proudly serving in the US Army overseas in Germany, he became a lifelong resident of Columbia Station.
Jerald was a Field Engineer with National Cash Register (NCR) retiring after 30 years. Jerald served his community over the years as a Firefighter, EMT, and Former Fire Chief. He also owned and operated businesses including Four Keyse Pizza.
He was a member of Midview Baptist Church, North Eaton and First Baptist Church of Elyria.
Jerry enjoyed farming, blue-grass music, trucks (with his favorite color fire engine red), Harley Davidson motorcycles, traveling, (especially to the mountains), and spending time with his family and friends.
He spent his retirement volunteering his skill at Christian youth camps. He lived these years by a servant’s heart.
Jerald is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda; daughters Heidi Koch of Berea and Julie Shaw of LaGrange. Nephews whom he loved and raised as his own, Samuel (Emily) Goodrich of Elyria and Aaron Goodrich of Yuma, AZ. Sister Sally (Bill) Burns of Naples, FL. Brother Michael (Lynda) Bilow of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Bothers-in-law Larry (Barb) Goodrich of Elyria and Stephen Goodrich of North Ridgeville. Nieces Shannon (Tony) Danalewich of Ft. Myers, FL. Angela Vallo of Elyria, Jessica Goodrich of Lorain. Nephews Paul Bilow, Jeffery (Tennille) of Nelsonville, OH, Michael (Rachel) of Conway, SC. Great nieces Alena, Alexa, Kendall, Sarah, Emery. Great nephews Sawyer, Trevor, Brody, Vinny, and many cousins.
Proceeded in death by parents Burton and Irene (Muntean) Bilow.
Visitation Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 10AM until the time of Celebration of Life at 11AM, at First Baptist Church 11400 Lagrange Rd, Elyria. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Camp Patmos, P.O.Box 1920 Kelly’s Island, OH 43438, www.camppatmos.com
