Jeffrey Scholtz's Obituary
Jeffrey Ronald Scholtz, age 47 of Elyria, died suddenly Saturday, August 27, 2005 at EMH Regional Medical Center after an apparent heart attack.
He was born June 6, 1958 in Cleveland. He had resided in Elyria the past 11 years, having moved from North Olmsted.
He graduated from North Olmsted High School, Class of 1976.
Mr. Scholtz worked as a Meat Cutter for Fligner's Grocery Store in Lorain the past two months. He previously worked at Tops in Elyria for 18 years.
Mr. Scholtz was a member of the Meat Cutter Union; UFCW Local 880. He enjoyed camping and was an avid Browns Fan.
Surviving are his Son, Jason of Simpsonville, SC; 2 daughters, Amy Scholtz of Simpsonville, SC, and Amanda Scholtz of Elyria; 2 sisters, Therese "Terry" Scholtz of North Ridgeville, and Karen Standen of Capisterano Beach, CA.
He was preceded in death by his Parents Ronald Scholtz in 1990 and Lois Scholtz in 1998.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9, Wednesday, August 31 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville, where a prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church 35777 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Reverend Stephen Kaminski, Pastor will be the celebrant. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
