Jeffrey G. McAfee's Obituary
Jeffrey G. McAfee, aged 46, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Regency Hospital in Middleburg Hts after a long illness caused by exposure to toxic burn pits in Iraq and Afghanistan.
He was born in Columbus OH, grew up in Delaware OH, and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 2010, moving from Nashville, Tennessee.
Jeffrey worked in Human Resource Management for the National Parks Service. He served in the U.S. Army for 4 years and as a civilian contractor in Afghanistan for 5 years as an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle operator.
He was an avid Star Wars fan and enjoyed building RC vehicles. Fishing, gaming, and spending quality time with his children and family were among his cherished pastimes.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Kate, his daughter Makayla, and his son Liam. He leaves behind his father, Jeffrey McAfee, and his mother, Betty Pachinger, his stepmother Debbie McAfee and his parents-in-law, Jeff and Amy Hansen. His memory will forever be cherished by his brother, Shawn Morrison, sister, Sheri Morrison, numerous nieces and nephews, and his best friend, Doug Hughes. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Chuck Pachinger.
