Jeffrey L. Baker's Obituary
Jeffrey L. Baker, age 70, of North Ridgeville, passed away Saturday September 12, 2020 at Ames Family Hospice following a long illness.
He was born in Wheeling, WV, grew up in Cleveland graduating from Rhodes High School in 1968, and had resided in North Ridgeville since 1976.
Mr. Baker served in the US Coast Guard from 1972-1976. He then went on to work at J & L / LTV Steel Cleveland for 32 years, retiring as a melting foreman in 2001.
He was a former member of VFW Post 7035, Avon. He enjoyed the great outdoors, golfing, hunting, fishing, and playing cards with family and friends. He also enjoyed watching Westerns and classic movies.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda (nee Meade), sons, James (Ashley) Baker of Brunswick, Robert (Jaclyn) Baker of North Ridgeville, Thomas Baker of North Ridgeville, eight grandchildren, Nina, Ella, Charlie Autumn, Aria, Heather,Jeremie and Amberly, his twin sister Jennifer (Terry) Ricer of Beallsville, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Linda (nee Jeffers) Baker, father-in-law James A. Meade and mother-in-law Ruby J (nee Profitt) Meade.
Private services will be held.
