Jeanne Davis' Obituary
Jeanne Davis (nee Staten), age 66, of Elyria passed away peacefully at her home Friday January 6, 2012.
Born in Parkersburg, WV, she had resided in Elyria the past 15 years after moving from Grafton.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of LaGrange. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Davis worked as a secretary at East Carlisle Elementary School in the Midview School District from 1987 until retiring in 2006.
Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Gary, two daughters, Gretchen (Kevin) Wysocki of Grafton, Kirsten (Josh) Wall of Elyria, 5 grandchildren, Nathan, Emme, and Maeve Wysocki, Abigail and Owen Wall, step daughter, Kelly (Greg) Beursken of Grafton, 2 stepsons, Gary (Kelly) Davis of Grafton and Clint Davis of TX, 4 step grandchildren, Brandon, Alyssa, Amanda and Amber, 3 brothers, Robert Staten of Delaware, OH, James Staten of Portsmouth and Steven Staten of Waverly, 3 sisters, Linda Dillow of Florida, Carolyn Murphy and Deborah Eggers both of Portsmouth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Basil Staten and Ethel Stapleton, and step father, Willie Stapleton.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4-8PM at First Baptist Church of LaGrange, at the corner of Liberty and Church St., LaGrange, where services will be held 11 AM Tuesday. Rev. Noel Hack, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
