Jean Fay McDonald's Obituary
Mary Jean McDonald (nee Fay), age 94, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Wesleyan Village in Elyria. She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1988, moving from Ashtabula. Jean had worked for Carlise's Department store in the advertising department and as a Tour Guide at AAA in Westlake before retiring in 1996. She was a longtime member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Jean attended some college art and journalism classes at Ball State University. She enjoyed line and square dancing, quilting, racquetball and arts and crafts. Survivors include her sons, Patrick (Olga) McDonald of Elyria, James (Isabel) McDonald of Elyria, daughters Susan McDonald of Elyria, Heather (Brian) Lawrence of Virginia Beach, grandchildren, DeAndre McDonald, Michael McDonald, Luke Morano, Rachael McDonald, great-grandchildren Cameron, Chloe and Callie, sister Ruth Fay, brothers John (Bobby) Fay, James (Mary Ann) Fay, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh J. McDonald, James and Margret (nee Ipe) Fay, Marcella Gallagher, and Shirley Brunelle. Services will be announced at a later date.
