Jean Matysiak's Obituary
Jean A. Matysiak (nee Scarborough), age 81, of Avon, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Parma Community Hospital, following a short illness.
Born in Lorain, she had been a resident of Avon since 1988.
Jean worked as a Real Estate Agent in the Lorain County area for 20 years.
She was a life member of Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 7035 and American Legion in Avon Lake.
She was very proud that she was the last May Queen at Fairhome Elementary School in Lorain.
She enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas, cooking baking and dancing.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 61 years, Ralph; son, Lawrence of Westlake; daughters, Leslie (Tim) Browning of North Ridgeville, Susan (David) Lukachko of Amherst; grandchildren, Brad Browning, Molly Lukachko; brother George Scarborough of Avon, three half brothers; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Scarborough; mother, Sophie Wargo; brothers, James and Robert Scarborough.
Friends may call Friday from 5-8PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM in the funeral home. Sr. Rita Costello, chaplain for New Life Hospice, will officiate.
