Jean M. Beatty's Obituary
Jean M. Beatty (nee Marshall), age 85, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away at The Renaissance Health Center in Olmsted Township on October 30, 2014.
Jean was born on July 12, 1929 in Massillon, where she remained a resident until moving to Olmsted Township in 2009.
She graduated from Massillon Washington High School in 1947 and from Kent State University in 1951. She was employed as a teacher at Franklin Elementary School in Massillon for several years prior to her marriage to James Beatty in 1955.
She showed horses in her youth, and enjoyed collecting antiques and gardening throughout her life.
She is survived by her four daughters: Kimberley (Michael) Ott of Canton, Vickie (Bill) Fagert of Wooster, Becky (Edward) Szeman of Ft. Mill, S.C., and Amy (Cory) Freadling of North Ridgeville; and ten grandchildren: Matthew (Melissa) and Michael Fagert, Maggie, Edward, Deborah, Leigh Anne, Joseph and Michael Szeman, and Morgan and Connor Freadling.
She was preceded in death by her husband James and parents Glenn and Helen (nee Rudy) Marshall.
A private Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.
