Janyce J. Noll's Obituary
Janyce J. Noll (nee Schnell), age 93, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at her home.
She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1952.
Janyce received her BS in Education at Ohio University and did her graduate work at Case Western Reserve. She taught one year in Cleveland and 29 years at North Ridgeville High School where she was a French teacher and Chairman of the Foreign Language Department. After she retired, she went on to substitute teach for eleven years.
At one time she was treasurer of the North Ridgeville Education Association and also of the North Ridgeville Republican Club. She was secretary, vice-president and president of the Lorain County Retired Teachers Association and also served as trustee from the Lorain County chapter to the Ohio Retired Teachers Association.
She also served on various committees involving the North Ridgeville City Schools both as an active and retired teacher. She was a member of the North Ridgeville Friends of the Library and served on the library levy committee.
She enjoyed reading, current events discussions, day trips to cultural events and visits with family.
Survivors include her sons James of Middletown (Marilyn), Jon “Jack” of Christiansburg, Virginia (Barb), Clifford of Amherst (Linda), David of Cleveland, daughter Janet Wessels (Dave) of Flagstaff Arizona, grandchildren Kristin, Jessica, Adam, Erica and Jeremy, and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and parents, Reuben and Hazel (nee Barner) Schnell.
Friends may call on Sunday February 26, 2023, from 11am until the beginning of service at 1pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd. North Ridgeville, OH 44039. Mr. Dave Wessels will officiate. Burial will be 11am on Monday, February 27 at St. Peter Cemetery 35777 Center Ridge Rd, North Ridgeville, OH.
