Janice Ann Bryden's Obituary
Janice Ann Bryden (nee Neal), age 75, of Elyria, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. She was born on January 4, 1948 in Washington, Pennsylvania and has been a resident of Elyria & Sheffield Village for the majority of her life. Janice worked as a Division Assistant at Lorain County Community College, retiring in 2018 after 36 years of devoted service. She was a member at the Church of the Open Door in Elyria for many years, where she was a very active participant in her Community Life Group. Janice had a strong Christian faith and enjoyed reading her Bible and doing daily devotions. She was an amazing cook, and loved to provide delicious meals for family gatherings, as family was her first and foremost priority. She also enjoyed baking and made many beautiful Wedding cakes for friends and family over the years. She thoroughly enjoyed tending to her many indoor and outdoor plants, as well as feeding and watching the birds and squirrels. She took great pleasure in hosting the International students and visiting professors via the International Program offered at Lorain County Community College. She had a passion for travelling and visited many different places within the US and Internationally with family and friends. Janice was a one of a kind, selfless individual with a tender heart and gentle soul and demonstrated compassion for everyone she came across. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She is survived by her daughters Julie Jaram and Denise Rego, both of Westlake; grandsons Devin Jaram and Anthony Rego; granddaughters Maria and Juliauna Rego; great grandson Brandon Martinez Jr.; sister-in-law Phyllis Neal; many nieces and nephews.
Janice was preceded in death by her former husband Dennis Bryden; grandson Brandon Martinez, parents Richard and Louraine (nee Bourg) Neal; brothers Richard and Jim Neal.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Friday, July 14th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday, July 15th at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Bob Wickens will officiate. Interment will be in Garfield Cemetery, Sheffield Village.
