Janet Simpkins' Obituary
Janet F. Simpkins (nee Gouge), age 62, of Elyria, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010 at her home following a short illness.
Born in New Port, Tennessee, she was a resident of Elyria since 1992 moving from Berea where she had lived for 20 years.
Janet worked as an LPN for the past 40 years at several local nursing homes including the Northwestern Center in Berea from 1992-2004.
She enjoyed gardening, her cats and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her brothers Harold (Barbara) Gouge Jr. of North Ridgeville, Danny (Christine) Gouge of Avon Lake; nephews, Gary Lauren, James and Brandon Stanley; nieces, Jessica Gabreans, Cassandra Gouge, Meghan Lauren and Rachel Qualls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oden "Joe" Simpkins in 1992; parents, Harold and Georgia Gouge.
Friends may call Monday, March 29, 2010 from 6:00 PM until the time of Memorial Service at 7:00 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Ray Carpenter will officiate.
