Janet Meade's Obituary
Janet A. Meade (nee Carey), 56 of Elyria passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010 at The Cleveland Clinic following an extended illness. She was born in Kingsport, TN and was a lifelong Lorain County resident. She was a 1973 graduate of Keystone High School. A homemaker, Janet attended Island Road Freewill Baptist Church. She was the former owner/operator of Video Universe in Columbia Station and had also worked at Blockbuster Video on Cleveland St. in Elyria. She also worked at the former Lorain Community Hospital in an administrative capacity. She enjoyed reading and was formerly employed at the Elyria Library, Washington Ave. branch. Janet cherished time spent with family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Jim Meade, her loving cat, Max, parents, Minnie and Dewey Carey of Columbia Station, brothers, Eddie (Connie) Carey of Louisville, KY and Danny (Audrey) Carey of Grafton, a sister, Teresa (Rick) Anderson of Columbia Station, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ruby and James Meade of Grafton, sisters-in-law, Charlotte Whitt of Grafton and Brenda (Jeff) Baker of North Ridgeville and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Ryan Carey. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Friday, November 5, 2010 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where memorial services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, November 6, 2010. Rev. Conard Profitt will officiate. Burial will be private.
