Janet Mae Docs' Obituary
Janet Mae Docs (nee Berchak), age 79, of Avon, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Southwest General Hospital in Middleburg Hts.
She was born in Elyria and spent her childhood in North Ridgeville before moving to Avon, where she lived for the past 60 years.
Janet was a talented cake decorator who made cakes for all special occasions for many years.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Avon.
She enjoyed arts and crafts and painting ceramics but mostly enjoyed raising her family.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Charles; daughters, Cindy (David) Ferrebee of Elyria, Cheryl Holowecky of North Ridgeville; son, Chuck (Judie) Docs of Avon; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joan (William) Isenberg and Carol (George) Smith, both of North Ridgeville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Agnes (nee Stark) Berchak and her special Aunt Lena and Uncle Herm Wald.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4PM & 6-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held on Friday at 9:30AM followed by a 10AM Mass at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, 2640 Stoney Ridge Rd., Avon. Rev. Tom Cleaton, Pastor, will be the Celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
