James Traut's Obituary
James H. Traut, age 74, of North Ridgeville, died Monday morning at his residence following a long illness.
He was born in Cleveland and has resided in North Ridgeville the past 72 years.
He was a graduate of North Ridgeville High School, class of 1948.
Mr. Traut worked as a Master Carpenter for Restifo Inc. Westlake, building homes for over 30 years, He retired in 1992.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville and was a Past President of the Holy Name Society. He also was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 212.
He enjoyed Woodworking, Hydroponic Gardening and Traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary M. (nee Maddock), five sons, James H. Jr. Of Columbia Station, David K. Of North Ridgeville, Thomas D. Of Elyria, Raymond G. Of North Ridgeville and Ronald J. Of North Ridgeville, three daughters, Cynthia S. Dickerson of North Ridgeville, Mary E. Medders of North Ridgeville and Monica M. Dorrance of North Ridgeville, 27 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and one Brother, Robert Traut of Hunington Township.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Orrie and Ruth Traut, one daughter, Katherine Traut in 1952, Grandson, Douglas Cobey and one brother, William Traut in 2003.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. A Prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Thursday in the funeral home followed by 10:00 AM Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church. Reverend Stephen Kaminski, Pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
