James M Sexton's Obituary
James M. Sexton, age 76, of Avon, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Provo, Utah, grew up in Boardman and had lived in Avon for the past 16 years. He spent many winters in Fountain Hills, Arizona. He previously lived in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Michigan.
James worked as a mechanical engineer for Honeywell in Arizona for 23 years, retiring in 2002.
He loved staying active and volunteered for the Lorain County Metro Parks. He enjoyed taking long walks with his dog and racing competitive Go-Carts. He was a former member of the North Ridgeville Rotary Club.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Karla (nee Stowe), daughter, Krista (James) Jones of North Ridgeville, brother, Harry Sexton of Cerritos, California, grandchildren, Nicholas and Jacob Adamczyk, David and Brandon and Lillian Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Grace (nee McLaughlin) Sexton.
Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, November 4 at 3:00 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, where family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until time of service. Rev. Dr. Tom Joyce will officiate. Full Military Honors will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 9871, North Ridgeville.
Services will be live streamed on the Bogner Family Funeral Home Facebook page.
Due to COVID, masks and social distancing will be required.
