James Schnitzler's Obituary
James L. Schnitzler, 76 of North Ridgeville passed away Wednesday August 4, 2010 at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria following a brief illness. He was born February 19, 1934 in Lorain, OH and had resided in North Ridgeville since 1976. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran. He had been employed as a technician for B.F. Goodrich in Avon Lake for 30 years retiring in the mid 1980's. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and boating and was an avid Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavs fan. He was extremely interested in following world, national and local news. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Stella (nee Baker), sons, Jimmy, Jeff and Rick Schnitzler, daughter, Joan Schnitzler, 3 step-daughters, Betty Howell, Rebecca Spears and Shena Keathley, a brother, Robert Schnitzler, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Mildred Schnitzler. Friends will be received from 5-7 P.M. Friday, August 6, 2010 in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where services will be held at 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children Research Hospital P.O. Box 2151, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101-2151.
