James M. Sawyer's Obituary
T/Sgt. James M. Sawyer, age 74, of Tampa, FL passed away April 19, 2005 in Tampa. He was born August 19, 1930 in Calhoun County, WV., having grown up in Leatherbark, WV. He was a member of the W.V. National Guard before enlisting in the Army. He retired as a T/Sgt in the U.S. Air Force after 23 years of service, then worked as a licensed electrician for the Civil Service. He enjoyed fishing. Jim is survived by his children James Dean Sawyer of FL., Diane Nadene Eisenhart of NC., Michael Anthony Sawyer of FL.; 9 grandchildren; brother Earl Sawyer of Elyria; sisters Mary Ellen Young of Leroy, WV., Violet Elrod of Holly Springs, GA; James was preceded in death by his parents Holly and Minnie (nee Lesher) Sawyer; sister Erma Ruth Rigsby. Burial will be 1:30 PM Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with full military honors.
