James W. Rofe Jr's Obituary
James W. “Jim” Rofe Jr., age 57, of Elyria, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at his home. He was born on September 24, 1967 in Cleveland and has been a resident of Elyria for the past 12 years, moving from North Ridgeville. Jim worked as a truck driver for Estes Trucking for many years. He enjoyed his time driving stock cars at the Lorain County Speedway, participated in many demolition derbies and was a huge fan of Dale Earnhardt. Jim is survived by his son Austin Rofe of Hawaii; sister Bonnie (Jon) Vincenzo of North Ridgeville; nephews Nicholas and Brandon; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Norma (nee Diederich) and James Rofe Sr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the North Ridgeville VFW from 1-4PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation in Jim’s name to the National MS Society, P.O. Box 91891, Washington, D.C. 20090-1891.
