James G. Richmond, Sr., 75 of North Ridgeville passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010 at St. John West Shore Hospital, Westlake following a brief illness. He was born Nov. 13, 1934 in Dameron, WV and has been a North Ridgeville resident since 1996 moving from Cleveland. He had been employed as a machine operator at General Motors, Parma retiring in 1999. He was a member of UAW Local 1005 and he enjoyed yard work, carpentry, travel and watching Western movies. Jim was an extremely active member of Christian Unity Church in North Eaton where he served as Deacon. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, W. June Richmond (nee Hammock), 2 sons, James G. (Elizabeth) Richmond, Jr. of North Ridgeville and Ernie (Joanna) Richmond of Brunswick, 4 grandchildren, Michael, Kayla, Cameron and Paige and a sister, Oneida Hall of Beckley, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, Violet and Ernest Richmond, 3 brothers, Dallas, Ronald and Troy Richmond and 2 sisters, Genevieve Jarrell and Mary Dunn. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Christian Unity Church 36353 Capel Rd., North Eaton, OH 44044 where friends will be received beginning at 10 A.M. Rev. Denver Daniel, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted. Memorial contributions are suggested to Christian Unity Church.
