James H. Looney's Obituary
James H. Looney, age 80, of Elyria, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Life Care Center of Elyria. He was born in Jonancey, KY and had been a resident of Elyria since 1946, formerly of Virgie, KY. Jim worked as a Technician for B.F. Goodrich for 25 years before retiring in 1995. He enjoyed buying and selling antiques with his wife for 30 years, golfing, bowling and fishing. He is survived by his step-daughter Shelly (Ron) Mitchell of Elyria; sons Tony (Eileen) Looney of Amherst, Jeff Looney of Lorain; daughter Vicki (Tony) Turner of Lorain; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister Kathy Downey of Dublin, OH.; sister-in-law Catherine Looney of Round Rock, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife Janet; parents Morrow and Irene Looney; brother Bill Looney; sister Loretta Landin. Respecting social distancing and the wearing of masks, Memorial Visitation Friday, February 26, 2021 from 11-12pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Service at 12pm will be private but will be live streamed the on funeral home Facebook page. Pastor Jon Casbohm will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
