James Long's Obituary
James T. "Jim" Long, age 70, of North Ridgeville died Tuesday at his home following a short illness.
He was born in Akron and had lived the past 20 years in North Ridgeville.
Mr. Long enjoyed boating and traveling in his RV.
He owned and operated Professional Fund Raising Company in North Ridgeville for 18 years until retiring in 2002. He previously worked in management for Milliken Inc. In Spartanburg, SC.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy, his daughter Jan Jankura of Columbia, SC and his brother Jerry Long of Mentor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Gertrude Long.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7-9 PM in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. A Memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday at Church of God 2280 Abbe Road Sheffield Lake. Reverend Jim Shaffer will officiate.
Private interment will take place Monday at Rose Hill Cemetery, Akron.
