James A. "Jim" Lewton's Obituary
James A. “Jim” Lewton, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake.
He was born in Cleveland and had been resident of North Ridgeville for the past 28 years.
Jim worked as an industrial engineer for several local companies including Virden Lighting, Elwell Parker, Hunter Manufacturing, General Motors Chevy Plant and Atlantic Tool & Die.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville and was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Council 7970.
He loved working with tools, watches, computers and the latest technology.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Mary Lou (nee Latosky); children, Laura (Nicholas) BeVier of Grafton, Susan (David) Hall of New Hope, Minnesota, Christine (Kevin) Layer of North Olmsted, Mary Beth (Mark Jr.) Taylor of Brunswick Hills, David Lewton (fiancée Hannah Tarase) of Brook Park; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Lewton; mother, Anne Slatton and sister, Elaine Lewton.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held on Saturday at 9:30AM followed by a 10AM Mass at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev. Andrew Hoover will be the celebrant.
Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Peter Memorial Fund.
