James Kwiatkowski's Obituary
James J. "K-10" Kwiatkowski, 70, of North Ridgeville, passed away Saturday March 1, 2008 at the Cleveland Clinic; following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Kwiatkowski had been a Lorain County resident since the 1970's; having moved from the Cleveland area. He retired from GM in 2005 following forty-seven years service as a crib attendant. He was a proud American and US Army Veteran who served his country as a rifle sharpshooter and parachutist. Mr. Kwiatkowski was a member of the Wellington VFW Post 6941, Life Member of Elyria AMVETS Post 32 and the Elyria American Legion Post 12. He had many hobbies with his favorite areas of interest, being an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, enjoying his two dogs, collecting military memorabilia, sitting on his porch swing and lounging in his recliner.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Nancy (nee Artman); two daughters, Lisa Perdue (Barry) of West Salem, OH and Vikki L. Harmon (Jeffrey M.) of North Ridgeville; five grandchildren, Ashleigh and Jaime Whitacre, Febe S. and Fletcher S. Harmon and Kayse Perdue; great-granddaughter, Cayleigh; sister, Genevieve Lapinsky of Murrels Inlet, SC; niece Linda Coyle (Dennis) of Dade County, FL; and great-niece and great-nephews, Julie, Charlie, and Timothy Coyle. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Sara (nee Kudra) Kwiatkowski; sister, Barbara Malumphy; brothers, Kenneth and Gilbert Kwiatkowski.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville with a rosary service being held at 8:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 PM on Thursday with Reverend Charles Diedrick, pastor of Saint Mary Church, Elyria, officiating. Entombment to follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon; where military honors will be conducted by the Wellington VFW Post 6941 and the Elyria AMVETS Post 32.
