James Johnson's Obituary
James A. "J.J." Johnson, 62 of Harvest, Alabama died peacefully at his home on Thursday, June 28, 2007.
He was born in Akron. He had resided in Harvest for the past 19 years having moved from Elyria. He previously lived in Newfoundland, Canada and Florida.
He served as a Sgt. 1st Class in the US Army Special Forces.
Mr. Johnson was an avid ham radio operator and an eagle scout. He loved to travel the world, see historical sites, and could never resist the latest electronic gadget. He was Vice President of a Electronics Manufacturing Company in Harvest, AL. He previously worked for Ridge Tool in Elyria.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia (nee Martin); son, Eric (Amy) of Delaware, OH; daughter, Tammy Johnson of Columbus; brother, David (Polly) of Louisville, KY; sister, Ruth (Nelson) Syler of Sweetwater, TN; ten nephews; eight nieces; eight great-nephews; and fourteen great-nieces; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary and Larry Baker of N. Eaton, Danny Martin of Pinellas Park, Florida, Frances Walker of N. Eaton and Donna and Steve Perrine of Columbia Station. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Gladys Johnson Jr.
Visitations 5-8 PM Thursday at David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeville. Funeral services will 11 AM Friday in the funeral home. Rev. Dr. Paul Durbin will officiate. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Twp.
