James L. Graves Sr.'s Obituary
James L. Graves Sr., age 84, of North Ridgeville, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Northridge Health Center, North Ridgeville.
He was born in Akron and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for over 25 years, moving from Fairview.
Mr. Graves served in the US Army alongside his twin brother, Ernest.
He worked as a photo engraver for Art Engraving Company in Cleveland for 28 years, retiring in 1977.
He was a former member of Christ Chapel and Teamster Union.
He enjoyed collecting antiques, playing BINGO, watercolor painting and photography.
Survivors include daughters, Linda Frye of Lakewood, Patricia (Daniel) Male of Monroe, Michigan; sons, James II of Middleburg Hts., Jeffrey (Pam) of Lexington, South Carolina; grandchildren, Nathaniel and Christopher Male, James William, Zachary and Ann Therese Graves; great-granddaughter, Sophia Joyce Male; brothers, Johnny of Akron and Wendell of Wadsworth.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret “Avonelle” Graves; twin brother, Ernie; sisters, Mildred Andrus and Miriam Leatherman; parents, John F. Graves Sr. and Verla Lucille (nee Dilger) Graves.
Friends may call Sunday from 3 PM until the time of services at 5 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
Private burial will be in West Rushville Cemetery, W. Rushville, Ohio.
