James E.'s Obituary
James E. "Jim" Eck age 46 of Olmsted Township passed away peacefully on Saturday August 2, 2008 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Olmsted Township and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of Laborer's International Union Local 310 and was employed by McGuiness Landscaping. He enjoyed wildlife, horses and the outdoors. Survivors include his wife of 9 years, Linda (nee Phifer), stepson, Joshua Haggard of Fort Lewis, Washington, his mother, Dolores Eck of Olmsted Township, his mother-in-law and caregiver, Martha Phifer, 4 brothers, Edgar "Corky" (Bonnie) Eck, Thomas (Cindy) Eck, Michael (Holly) Eck and Dennis (Val) Eck, 2 sisters, Liz (Tim) Brlan and Edna (Dan) Damroze. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Eck and by his sister, Kathy Eck. Friends will be received from 2-9 P.M. Monday at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where funeral services will be held Tuesday August 5 at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Olmsted Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cleveland Clinic.
