James Calaway's Obituary
James A. Calaway, age 75, of North Ridgeville died Saturday evening at North Ridge Health Center following a brief illness.
He was born in Cleveland. He had resided in North Ridgeville since 1963; having moved from Parma. Before retiring he was a construction worker for PrePack Concrete Company, Cleveland. His specialty was pouring concrete under water.
He was a social member of the VFW Post # 9871, North Ridgeville and a member of Dad of Foreign Service Veterans Post # 283.
Mr.Calaway was a craftsman who enjoyed working on cars. He also enjoyed woodworking , drawing and collecting model cars.
He is survived by his 2 daughters; Rose Marie Olszewski and Patricia Calaway-Webb, both of North Olmsted; six grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Calaway, of Parma, Wallis Calaway, of Parma Heights and Harold Calaway, Jr., of Middleburg Heights.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Lewis and Rose (nee Oestreich) Calaway.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 PM Tuesday in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville; where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 AM. Reverend Ellen Palmer-Marsey, pastor of the 1st Congregational United Church of Christ, North Ridgeville, will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
