James Brown's Obituary
James Ralph Brown, 69, of Grafton, died March 25, 2008 at Palm Crest East Nursing Home, Elyria following a short illness.
Mr. Brown was a self-employed contractor who specialized in masonry work. He was also employed with the turnpike as a maintenance foreman, retiring after fifteen years of service. He was a US Marine Veteran who proudly served his country from 1956-1959 as a sharpshooter.
Surviving are his wife, Nola (nee Simmons); sister-in-law, Frances Brown; nephew, Greg Brown; nieces, Lisa Standen and Theresa Smith; and additional nieces and nephews, Sheila, Darlene, Howard Jr., Russell and Doug.
Family will receive friends Friday from 6-8Pm at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where services will be held at 10:00AM Saturday. Interment to follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, where the North Ridgeville VFW Post 9871 will conduct full military honors.
