James Bourne's Obituary
James Anthony Bourne, age 66, of North Ridgeville, passed away Monday January 4, 2010 at his home following a long illness.
He was born in Cleveland and had resided in N. Ridgeville the past 20 years. He had previously lived in Cleveland, Parma and Westlake.
Mr. Bourne served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was a TV and radio repairman for Electra Sound in Parma for over 25 years, retiring in 2008.
Mr. Bourne was talented at playing the guitar, banjo, keyboard, trumpet, accordion and sang in a band called "Something Else"
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shirley (nee Barlock), sisters Kathleen Schilens of Avon, Joanne (Bert) Simpson of Parma, sister-in-law Martha (Tom) Nelson of N. Ridgeville, brother-in-law Raymond (Christine) Prock of Parma and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 3-9PM at David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Friday followed by 10 AM Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church 35777 Center Ridge Road N. Ridgeville. Reverend Bob Franco, Pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will take place 10:30 AM Monday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
