James P. Blair Sr.'s Obituary
James P. Blair, 71, of Elyria, OH passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 18th, 2018 at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born October 21, 1947 in Cleveland, OH to parents Robert and Virginia Blair and was an Elyria resident most of his life.
Jim, a Vietnam Veteran, served with the United States Army. Afterwards, he was employed at Ferro Slag, then the Chronicle-Telegram until he retired. He later returned to work as a delivery driver at Professional’s Pet Supply Inc. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his dog Misty, fishing, and playing computer games.
Surviving him is his spouse Sherry Blair; his daughter Carey (James) Wells Jr.; children, Tabetha Patton, Kenneth (Amanda) Turner Jr., James, Joseph, and Maggie; grandchildren, Anthony and Briona (Colin) Smith, James III, Isaiah, Olivia and Eliana Wells, Corey (Migdalia) Turner, Tiara (Jordan) Beard, Marissa Patton, Kenny III (Taylor) and Tiffany Turner; great grandchildren, Kenneth IV, Sophia, Laciani, Laylani and Julian; brother Robert Blair and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Virginia Blair, brother John Noffsinger and sister Jeannine Blair.
Funeral Services Friday, November 23, at 1:00 p.m. at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, where family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Elder James Wells Jr., Pastor, will officiate. Burial with full Military Honors by V.F.W. Post 9871, North Ridgeville, will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
