James R. Becker's Obituary
James R. Becker, age 80, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully Friday, June 5, 2020 at his home. After graduation from St. Edwards, he joined the Marine Reserves and honorably served for 6 years. After a long career as a combustion engineer, he retired from his own company in 2010. A man of many passions, Jim gave his utmost love and attention to his wife of 60 years, Joyce, and his daughters first. Jim enjoyed gardening, exercise, working in the yard, being outdoors, but mostly spending time with his grandchildren, his great-grandchild and his grand-dogs. Beloved father to Elaine (John) Whalen of Avon, Coleen (Mike) Dowdall of Ravenna; cherished Papa to Katie (Michael) Keefe, and Joey Whalen; great-Papa to Patrick Keefe; step-Papa to Jeff, Ryan, and Chloe Dowdall; brother to Kathy (Robert) Starr; brother to Tom Becker; one of a kind admired uncle.
