James Baker's Obituary
James R. Baker, age 65, of Grafton died Wednesday at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria following a brief illness.
He was born in Jolo, West Virginia and had been a resident of Grafton since 1976 moving from North Ridgeville.
Mr. Baker served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart.
He worked as a Tool and Die Welder for Ford Motor Company for 25 years.
He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 1250 and enjoyed hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Ireena (nee Vladimirovna) Baker; sons James A. of Elyria, James R. Jr. of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia; daughters, Ellen M. Elmore of Second Creek, West Virginia, Sherrie Bassett and Courtney Baker both of Elyria and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lillie (nee Hadlin) Baker and son Gary Baker.
Friends may call Friday from 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00AM in the funeral home. Rev. Glenn Caudill, Pastor of West Salem Church of God will officiate.
Burial will be in Belden Cemetery.
