Jakob J. Hwang's Obituary
Jakob J. Hwang, age 17, of North Ridgeville, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, June 11, 2018.
He was born on September 11, 2000 in Middleburg Heights and has been a lifelong resident of North Ridgeville. He was a 2018 Graduate of Elyria Catholic High School and was a member of St. Peter Church in North Ridgeville and St. Raphael Church in Bay Village.
Jakob loved playing soccer for the Elyria catholic panthers. He was a “legendary” goalie. He cherished animals and loved visiting the Cleveland Metroparks zoo. Jakob had a dope style sense for clothing and was a total sneaker head.
He was also a “foodie” who loved to explore recipes which he would then cook for his family. His ever-present smile was infectious to everyone he met. He loved the time he spent with his family, school and neighborhood friends, and his dogs: Elmo and Grover. Throughout his journey, Jakob never lost Faith and had complete trust in God’s plan. Jakob ‘s aspiration was to one day move to LA and pursue his many gifts of art.
Jakob is survived by his parents John and Karri (nee Narowitz) Hwang; sister Grace Hwang; grandparents Mick and Jeannine (nee Gareau) Narowitz of North Ridgeville and Tae and Myong Hwang of Amherst; aunts and uncles Nicole (Eric) Pohlman, TeeCe (Brian) Durante, Tim (Joann) Narowitz, Dawn (Bert) Smith, Nathan and Zackary Narowitz, Jin Hwang, Chong (Marcel) Thomas and Jim (Pia) Hwang; many cousins; his beloved dogs Elmo and Grover.
